Castaway 2000 - The Careys

Originally from the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, the Carey family lived and worked in Birmingham, prior their new life on Taransay. Gordon was a Council Worker, in security, of late, but previously in housing repairs - electrics, plumbing, etc; he is also an avid fisherman.

Cassie was, and still is, the homemaker, looking after the two children.

This is a second marriage for both of them - Gordon has two older sons, while Cassie has a 16 year old son called Jamie, who they have left behind to finish his GCSEs.

They are heavily involved in activities relating to their church, where they worshipped as Seventh Day Adventists..
