| Geaarrannan Blackhouse Village is entered through one of the old blackhouses. The entrance fee is extremely reasonable and a whole family can enter for less than £15.
Inside the blackhouse is a small shop to the left which has a varied range of goods ranging from old picture postcards to "cuddly" highland cattle - you will find a gift suitable for anybody. Surrounding the goods are a number of informative panels showing the history of the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village.
To the right, as you enter, is a very pleasant and relaxing cafe where you can purchase snacks and beverages.
Upon leaving the cafe and shop area you now in the village itself. You can enter many of the buildings in one blackhouse there is a "living museum".
