Many of the early Kings of Scots are buried in `Reilig Odhrain' -the 'Street of the Dead' -as well as kings of Ireland, France and Norway: 48 Scottish, 8 Norwegian and 4 Irish kings. The 11th-century chapel of St Oran also survives. The nearby Augustinian nunnery of St Mary was founded in 1208, also by Reginald, and is a fine consolidated ruin.
