Ivor M MacKay
Ivor M MacKay is a hebridean artist, based in the village of Back on the Isle of Lewis. He graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art in 1992, gaining an honours degree in drawing and painting. His work is inspired by the evocative moods, seasons, light and changing weather systems of the Outer Hebrides (Western Isles). Ivor often visits neighbouring islands and has been enourmously inspired by the Isle of Scalpay and its people. On this page is a small selection of Ivor's work (scalpay). Having undertaken over five hundred commissioned works, Ivor is happy to accept private work (he can easily work from photographs).
