I cannot believe that your website is no more;I come from east Ayrshire and I had agreat holiday on scalpay recently.What on earth is going on? I would have to say i agree with dom (much as it pains me to do so)

the insular cliques that either can't or won't see the site for what it is and can't embrace a new thought into their prejudiced little minds would be better of just digging a hole and climbing in and letting the world pass them by.

I'm sure their will be a few volunteers for that. Like wise i shall also offer my skills at re-educting the backward sheep herders

If the "ASS-ociation" want to argue the toss over their petty, narrow minded, bigoted and downright pathetic reasoning for wanting this site pulled then I'm happy to arrange a counselling session when I'm next on the Island, September possibly. You sad little individuals threaten and behave like the presbyterian and other religious cliques that ruin the Islands longevity and future because your heads are so far up yer arse you are blinded by the shite you so lovingly spout.

Kelly and Co, name these tossers now like the News of the World have done with their paedophile articles and show these prats up for what they are.

Your sight brought pleasure and interst to others and did more to bring people over to the Islands than these arseholes have collectively achieved in their lifetimes.

I'd like to say what a great shame it is (especially for those Islanders living abroad) to see this website closed. I have seen firsthand the amount of work, personal effort, time and passion that has gone into building this site as I sat with the webmaster on many occasions while building it.
This site is one of the largest in Europe with over 1000 pages and I'm sure it brought great pleasure to those Islanders living abroad.

Scalpay.com made no money out of this site and it possibly cost them money to build and maintain it (web-hosting doesnt come free!)

So much effort gone to waste.

I would say to those who complained that they are cutting off their noses to spite their face as this site could be enjoyed by everybody - what a damn shame!
