Cuddy Point (2)
Awaiting a vessel at Cuddy Point must have been an enjoyable social occassion, an opportunity to meet and chat to islanders that you may not have seen since the previous delivery. As you can see from the photographs, the crowds certainly appeared to be enjoying themselves.
Cuddy Point was a busy place with many of the local fishing vessels tying up in that area, indeed, at one time the harbour was so busy that I am sure that this was the only place left to land their catch.
It must have been an enjoyable experience to land a large catch of fish amongst other islanders who had had the same good fortune.
