Marine
Life
Besides
the octopus, the bottom under the pier is crawling with
life at night. There are velvetcrabs, edible crabs,
squat lobsters, long clawed spineys. While the legs
of the pier and the walls of the slip are covered with
encrusting growth, anemones, small sponges, etc. There
are also numerous shoals of small fish - theMinch is
a nursery area with herring, pollock, cod, small rock
cook and all types of the wrasse family. The seabed
is covered with small boulders and kelpy areas, all
very interesting to nose in. This is one night dive
I hope to be doing again very, very soon."
