Just
before you reach the lighthouse there is a small
cottage. This area has proved an inspiration to
several artists one of whom occassionaly stayed
here.

Eilean
Glas Lighthouse itself is one of the oldest
lighthouses in Scotland, one of the first four.

The
lighthouse has various plaques giving details.
The first lightkeeper came in 1789 and stayed
for 35 years.
